If you like to feel like you are in the middle of an adventure right along with the characters, reading Steven Becker is a must. His Mac Travis series is by far my favorite, however his books are all superb. Wood's Fury is full of adventure and intrigue, with such well developed characters that you actually feel like you know them. They seem so very real, which makes it impossible to not become so immersed in the plot that you feel like you are living the adventure right along with the characters. 5 stars is hardly adequate, it's too bad there are only 5 stars to give !!
Drugs being brought by turtle instead of mules. Interesting story, but a little stressful as an older fishmonger and his errant son compete for the drugs lost when Mac and Trufante cut them loose to help the turtle. Lots of boating and diving
Another exciting, fun to read page-turner. Just wish it was longer. Looking forward to whatever is next in this series!!!
It was a good book, written by a good author.
Steven Becker latest release is another hit novel. It ties different parts of a treasure stories from his other series as well as providing a fast paced adventure that can also be read as a stand-alone novel (although, you should pick up the rest of his series and enjoy the development of all the main characters). Tru finds himself in trouble once again. This time with an old foe of Mac involving a turtle, drugs, Santeria, and sunken treasure. Mac of course having to bail out and save Trufante. Another great hit by Steven Becker!
Mac did not want to stop, it had been a good day fishing, but the turtle was in trouble. Seeing it was wrapped in nets and drugs, he cut it away as soon as possible . The turtle was injured so they called someone to come and get it. The Cajun had other ideas, always one to make a buck. Mac could smell trouble and what a mess it ended up to be.Steven Becker has come a long way. Be sure and pick up your copy today. This is action at its best! Fast paced and intriguing!
Another action-packed adventure with the entire Mac Travis cast of Mel, Truffante (Cadillac Man), Pamela, and Ned, and a few bad eggs, seeking treasure that harks back to the lost treasures of early pirates Van Doren and Lafitte. It's a ripping yarn that I found hard to put down at night to rest my weary eyes. More please Steve!
I always look forward to new releases from Steven Becker, and this one as with all the others did not disappoint. I enjoy reading anything written by Steven Becker. His characters are well developed and his plots, and the scenes, within the plots, are described in such vivid detail that I feel pulled into the story. This is another great read with plenty of action, adventure, and suspense.
