Outstanding book on creating a defense to combat the varied looks that modern offenses are presenting! Coach Alexander presents his plan for a pattern matching quarters defensive system in a clear, concise, and understandable manner. There are very few resources for the defensive side of the ball that present a coherent system that can be installed at the high school level and adapted to meet the needs of each team. This is the best of the bunch! As a high school head coach and defensive coordinator, I cannot recommend this book highly enough! A "must read" for all coaches.
Coach Alexander gives you all of the insight you'll need to understand the modern quarters defense. Perfect for coaches and football fans alike, this book covers both the philosophy behind this defense as well as the Xs and Os.Fans of matchquarters.com will be familiar with the articles Alexander expanded into chapters, but there's enough new information to keep them interested. This is a must read for anyone who loves football.
