Awesome. A laminated map is great for plotting your desired places to visit and your hotel location with a dry erase marker.First go a tiny laminated map included with a Fodor's travel book of Madrid...print was WAY too small...Then got a "Streetwise" laminated map of Barcelona... 1/2 the city on each side.... very annoying.Have purchased the BORCH laminated maps for Amsterdam, Vienna and Budapest... AWESOMELarger print, top 30 "sights" clearly listed and EASY to find. I'm an Eagle Scout and love maps. I'm looking forwardto using the BORCH maps on our travels in 2016.
Now that Streetwise has ceased production, I thought I would try this brand. What a disappointment - far too extensive, and cluttered with symbols, street direction arrows, and labels to be useful as a moments glance tourist walking map.
The map is very helpful for a tourist, with all major attractions included and highlighted on the map. Inserts are provided for all major sightseeing areas. Overlay-ed public transport info is also helpful. Lamination makes it very durable and water proof, we used similar Borch map under the rain for several days in Prague with no damage to the map.
A good, practical city map with public transportation sub-maps. Easy to read and if you're smart enough to buy a chinagraph pencil you can mark the laminated map and then erase the markings. I've passed and a couple others to a relative who did almost the same trip (Vienna, Budapest & Prague) and she found them helpful too.
I used one of these maps in Paris and it was indispensable. It folds easily and resists water and stains. also, it's easy to read and I found it very accurate.

Excellent map! Laminated for durability and has beautiful cartography. Also provides a map of Austria with the Vienna metro. Highly recommended.
These laminated maps are great! Never have to worry when the weather gets wet! The detail on the map is really excellent.
