I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book in the series, but there were parts that I liked, so I decided to give the second book a try. I’m glad I did. It was great. For those complaining about events in the first chapter? It sets the basis for the rest of the story, it’s a necessary evil. The book continues beautifully, flows better than the first book, and has a wonderful story waiting for you.
This is an amazing series. Melanie Karsak did a superb job in developing her characters as well as the geography for her heroine. It must be difficult to try to paint a picture of a fictional world, and jump back and forth to many fictional worlds as well. It certainly is a challenge at the very least. I have read two books in the series and can barely write this review as I want to jump into the next book of the series. Five stars well earned.
Similar to book 1, the ending of this story was cut short and left me feeling shortchanged and disappointed that the author couldn't have told a story that could stand on its own.
The second book in the series did not disappoint. It was equally as good as the first. I will begin the third now but wish I did not have to wait so long for the last book!
This trilogy is so well written. I hope that everyone gives it a try. Because once you start ready it you won’t want to stop until you have finished the trilogy. Wonderful characters. Scottish myth and history combined!
I love the storyline...the characters...the magic, the covens, the castle life & the history of it all.....I hope Ms Karsak finishes the storyline....I want to know what happens!! :)
I loved reading this series and cannot wait for the 3rd book... So please publish it soon! I highly recommend this book and the previous one, you won't be disappointed I couldn't put it down an longing to know what happens
Full of magic and history. Melanie Karsak is a talented writer and did her research. Read both if the Celtic blood series books in one day.
